She painted her own face in broken layers, ink spills and quiet smudges, as if the truth could only be told in pieces. People swore they saw wings in the corner of the canvas, but she just smiled, a little tired, because she knew it wasnt wings at all—it was the part of her that still wanted to fly, even after everything.
