The Sun Inside His Head art print
story of The Sun Inside His Head art print:
He used to say the sea was the only place that could keep a secret, so when he stopped talking I started painting his silence instead. In this picture his face is huge and quiet, like a cliff worn down by years, and inside his head there’s a small shoreline where a lone figure stands waiting for something that never quite arrives. The yellow sun sits like a coin on the edge of a blue wall, and little boats drift around like stray thoughts you can’t catch fast enough. I hid scraps of maps and half erased notes in the sky, the kind you scribble when you cant sleep, hoping they’d lead him back. But the eyes stay open, steady and tired, watching the water move, as if he’s listening to a distant voice he dosen’t trust yet.
